Sailing from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales, or vice versa, and navigating the islands, peninsulas, fjords, glaciers and channels of southern Patagonia, is a great way to enjoy southern Chile. The boat is a cargo and passenger ferry, with complete service, varied activities and comfortable cabins. 4 day cruise from Puerto Montt down to Natales, or a 5 day cruise back up, are available.
Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales
(4 days / 3 nights, Fri-Mon)

Day 1: Friday - Arrive in Reloncavi Bay - Corcovado Gulf
Departure and navigation out of the Reloncavi Bay. The rest of the day we will cruise through the Gulf of Ancud and along the Corcovado Gulf, passing the islands of Chiloé and Pumalín Park. After dinner, entertainment program (live music, movie,etc.). Dinner.

Day 2: Saturday - Sailing through the Channels to the Pacific
Sail past the town Melinka after breakfast and look for local wildlife, frequently seen in the Brieva Strait and Peñón Blanco. Later, we will navigate along the Pulluche Channel. Keep your eyes opened for whales or dolphins throughout the cruise. In the morning and afternoon optional ½-hour talks on local culture and wildlife; entertainment in the evenings and navigation out into the open sea. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner.

Day 3: Sunday - Puerto Eden at Wellington Island
We will pass through the Messier Channel, Angostura Inglesa, and Bajo Cotopaxi and disembark at Puerto Eden to explore the town. The cruise will continue through the Abismo Strait and along the immense Pio XI Glacier (high season). Talks on geology, glaciers and the Torres del Paine National Park during the day. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Day 4: Monday - Puerto Natales
On our last part of the voyage we will pass the narrow „White Channel“ and the Última Esperanza Fjord; you will enjoy the sight of the Balmaceda National Park on the right, while the vast open Patagonian Pampa stretches out behind Puerto Natales. Arrival to Puerto Natales. Breakfast.

 

Puerto Natales to Puerto Montt
(5 days / 4 nights, Mon-Fri)

Day 1: Monday: Arrive in Puerto Natales
In the afternoon you check in and embark. Afternoon at leisure and entertainment in the evening (movie or live music).

Day 2: Tuesday: Pto Natales - Balmaceda Glacier & Amalia Glacier
Early morning we leave Puerto Natales and navigate along the beautiful Última Esperanza Fjord. We continue through the Ùltima Esperanza Fjord, then through the Sarmiento and the narrow „White Channel“. Along the way you will see a hanging glacier. Talks about geology, glaciers and local culture will be held during the day. We will pass the impressive glacier Amalia. Dinner and entertainment afterwards. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner.

Day 3: Wednesday: Puerto Eden at Wellington Island
Early arrival at the isolated village of Puerto Edén and time to explore the little town. The cruise will continue through the Messier Channel, Angostura Inglesa and Bajo Cotopaxi. In the afternoon talks about local wildlife will be held to finally arrive to the Pacific Ocean. Dinner and entertainment program. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner.

Day 4: Thursday: Pulluche Channel
& Seal Colony in Brieva Strait Entering into the Patagonian Channels, passing Ana Pink Bay, navigating through the Pulluche Channel and (during high season only) the North and South Pérez Channels. In the Brieva Strait and Peñón Blanco, we will pass seal colonies. Various talks throughout the day. The boat reaches the island of Chiloé and then heads up north to the Gulf of Ancud. Farewell party after dinner. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner.

Day 5: Friday: Disembarkation Puerto Montt
Disembarkation after breakfast in Puerto Montt. Breakfast.
